Festive Holiday Celebrations in Temecula’s Wine Country

 

TEMECULA, Calif. – South Coast Winery Resort & Spa, set among award-winning vineyards in the heart of Temecula Valley, announces its lineup of festive holiday celebrations, welcoming local visitors and destination travelers to experience the season in true wine country style.

The festivities begin with an abundant Thanksgiving Buffet, offering a wide variety of seasonal favorites and gourmet selections designed to please every palate. On Sunday, November 30, the resort will officially kick off the Christmas season with its beloved Annual Tree Lighting ceremony, a fun-filled evening featuring family-friendly activities, holiday cheer and a dazzling lighting display.

The holiday spirit continues at The Vineyard Rose Restaurant, led by Executive Chef Jon Alcala, which will be open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Guests can indulge in the restaurant’s signature menus enhanced with specially crafted holiday dishes while holiday carolers provide festive entertainment on select evenings in December. To ring in 2026, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa will host “Jimmy’s Buffet LIVE,” an electrifying New Year’s Eve celebration guaranteed to deliver an unforgettable send-off to the year.

 

Annual Bountiful Thanksgiving Buffet in the Barrel Room and Courtyard
Thursday, November 27, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The resort’s executive chef Jon Alcala and his culinary crew will create a Thanksgiving Buffet that pleases the whole family and their holiday friends. For Starters, there is Charcuterie and Seasonal Fruit, Shrimp Cocktail, Smoked Salmon with bagels and all the fixings, Shrimp Ceviche, Butternut Squash Soup and Caesar Salad. Tempting Mains include Soyrizo Stuffed Portobello (vegan), Braised Short Rib and the Carving Action Stations feature Pasta with assorted toppings and sauces, Molasses Brined Turkey with gravy and cranberry compote and Pork Loin Roast with smoked fall spice brine. A delectable range of classic Sides are Mashed Potatoes, Apple Sage Stuffing, Green Beans Almondine, Macaroni & Cheese and Brussels Sprouts. For Dessert lovers, they’ll be offering Carrot Cake, Assorted Cheesecakes, Pumpkin and Pecan Pies.

On Thanksgiving The Vineyard Rose Restaurant will serve its customary a la carte brunch menu from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and serve lunch from 1 to 4 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5 to 9 p.m. and features two holiday specials: Turkey Duo Plate with all the fixings for $45 per person and Herb Crusted Prime Rib with accompaniments for $59 per person.

Magical Evening Tree Lighting Festivities Hosted by South Coast Winery
Sunday, November 30, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Every year the resort delights the community with its holiday festivities including Santa Claus meet and greet, petting zoo, face painting, horse drawn trolley and tractor rides, carolers, winter crafts for kids and most exciting and beautiful of all – the Tree Lighting Ceremony. For refreshments the admission includes hot chocolate, cider and dessert bar, and there are additional purchase food options available along with a selection of beer, wine and special holiday-themed cocktails. Attendees are encouraged to give back to the community by donating an unwrapped toy for the official Toys for Tots giving initiative. It all takes place in the Courtyard and Barrel Room with check-in at 5 p.m. in Vintner’s Garden near the fountain.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Dining at The Vineyard Rose Restaurant

Serving contemporary California cuisine, The Vineyard Rose Restaurant will celebrate the season with its signature breakfast, lunch and dinner menus on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, complemented by festive holiday specials for dinner. On Christmas Day, families can also enjoy an indulgent a la carte brunch served from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring seasonal favorites such as SCW Bananas Foster Pancakes, Smoked Salmon Toast and Chilaquiles.

New Year’s Eve in Paradise at the Grand Ballroom: Jimmy’s Buffet LIVE
Wednesday, December 31, from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; check-in at 9:30 p.m.

South Coast Winery is throwing a Jimmy’s Buffet LIVE: NYE in Paradise Bash. Revelers will “feel the island breezes” as they sail into 2026 in the Grand Ballroom. Sipping on margaritas and a kick-off-the-night sparkling toast, there will be an authentic Live Performance by Jimmy’s Buffet Band with steel drums, congas and a few surprises. And there will be dancing, themed late-night appetizers, a dessert and coffee bar, photo booth to capture this memory-making extravaganza and party props. Additional beer, wine and tropical cocktails will be available for purchase. Guests can book their stay at the resort with special New Year’s Eve pricing.

$95 per person for general admission includes gratuity. Ticket purchases are final sale. Event is for 21+ adults only. New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe Dinner at The Vineyard Rose Restaurant
Wednesday, December 31, from 5 to 9 p.m.

In the Tuscan-inspired ambiance of The Vineyard Rose Restaurant, South Coast Winery Resort & Spa invites guests to enjoy a seasonal three-course prix fixe dinner crafted by the resort’s culinary team. Starters include a choice of Winter Valley Salad with pomegranate, house-made lemon ricotta, and estate red wine vinaigrette; Burrata Dip with artichoke, spinach, and Calabrian tapenade; or Hummus with seasonal crudités and black olive “soil.” Entrée selections feature Braised Short Ribs, Surf & Turf, or Halibut with fines herbes, wild mushrooms, and citrus beurre blanc, followed by dessert choices of S’mores Trifle with whipped mallow brûlée and white miso caramel, or Ube Panna Cotta with seasonal fruit. South Coast Winery’s knowledgeable servers will gladly recommend award-winning estate wines to complement this festive dining experience.
