TEMECULA, CA – June 26, 2009 – The wine competition results are starting to come in now, and South Coast Winery, last year’s winner of the prestigious California Golden State Winery of the Year award, is capturing the attention from both international and national wine buyers and critics across the nation for its wine quality, value, and selection.
 
From vine to shelf, South Coast Winery has always placed quality ahead of quantity.  In fact, with results just now coming in from the San Francisco International Wine Competition and the Los Angeles International Wine Competitions over the past few days, our winemakers have done it again.   They've earned an impressive 41 medals in these two competitions alone -- including 6 Gold Medals; 13 Silver Medals; 18 Bronze Medals; 1 Best of Show Medals and 3 Best of Class Medals.
This means South Coast Winery wines have earned a whopping 228 medals to date in 2009 competitions, compared to 161 medals for the same period last year.

A quick at-a-glance look at the comparison chart below, detailing South Coast Winery's 2008-2009 competition awards, demonstrates just how well this winery is pacing.  Better still is the fact that the results are still pending from a few other major wine competitions that have yet to occur, making it a distinct possibility that this winery could very well beat last year’s wine competition results of 255 Awards and Medals and bring home the California State Winery of the Year "Golden Bear" Award for the second consecutive year.
