SOUTH COAST WINERY RESORT AND SPA UNVEILS NEWEST ADDITION, THE CARTER RESERVE ROOM
The Carter Reserve Room Features an Elite Library of Wines
and a Private Wine Concierge.

TEMECULA, CALIFORNIA -- December 16, 2011 – South Coast Winery Resort and Spa announces the opening of the Carter Reserve Room, a private room showcasing nearly 60 leading wines from the winery’s award-winning history. 

“This is the wine library that I wanted to put here in the very beginning,” said Jim Carter, owner of South Coast Winery Resort and Spa.  “But we never did have the complete concept of what it should be like, so we just kept putting it off. Here we are almost 10 years later, finally completing this special space.  We’re very excited about it.”

Originally an unused storage area of the basement, the Carter Reserve Room is handsomely decorated in cherry wood and features a wood beam ceiling, richly crafted wooden tables, marble-topped sideboard tables and bar and three high definition televisions.  Three moveable wine racks can be used to divide the room into semi-private areas.

The Carter Reserve Room seats up to 40 and was envisioned for business dinners, private parties, and wine pairing events.  The winery’s expert concierge will share special details about each wine with the guests.  Uses of the room will evolve over time according to Carter.

“The quality of work is incredible. We hope that people will realize our dedication to quality when they’re in this room. When I sit here I remember the grapes as we grew them. It’s probably good that it took so long to build. Wine is a time and a place,” Carter said.

In addition to private catered affairs, guests may enjoy the Carter Reserve Room by participating in The World of Wine and Food Tour.  This special wine tasting includes a plated cheese and fruit assortment paired with specially selected wines for $40 per person ($35 wine club members).  The 45-minute tasting takes place Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.  For more information about The World of Wine and Food Tour, call South Coast Winery reservations at (866) 994-6379.
